Little kid at drop-off for my son's pre-K this morning greeted me by saying: "This is the day that the Lord has made."  I replied: Hallelujah! I know that song! Got a big smile.

Let us be glad and rejoice in it! Now I'm smiling, too.

You are a poor atheist! You are supposed to be all offended and throw a fit!

Every day is a day to rejoice and be glad in it!

He's a really nice kid, and getting to be friend with Little OR.  (Plus, his mom is a hottie.  Wait, did I type that out loud?)

Also on the playground this morning (before "lineup" to into class), a mom came up to me gushing about how nice Little OR is; she pointed out her two boys, and said, "they're both autistic spectrum, but your son happily plays with them... he's so sweet".  So that was nice.

Damn, the new century is full of wonders. Been over a week now with school and the Squire. School is still standing, even if the teachers are looking a little frazzled at the end of the day (note to self, wine/liquor gift certificates will show appreciation).

Everything is online, I can even get pictures shared from the teacher with the appropriate app.

Several teachers in Kalifornia got into serious trouble for that!

I think Little OR's mom and I definitely had more "transition" anxiety than he did, with regard to his starting Pre-K 4.

My granddaughter's nursery school in the UK does that. It puts her mom's mind at ease knowing she's happy and getting along well.

This afternoon my son sent a video of her digging into her Weetabix and singing the Weetabix song. She's becoming a proper little Brit.

Calling it quits after nearly 8 hours of reading interrogation records.  Most of it dealing with two rather interesting cases, both of which were appealed to the Emperor.  But those will be for a later chapter so, for the moment, I'm leaving much of that aside.  Even so. a productive day, even if I am two days behind on my research schedule.

Last week I bought a truck to replace the totaled one.

Part of the deal was console radio system would be upgraded with the sat nav system. My wife insists on having the nav.

I get there and the service dept. "we don't see anything in the system".

Service manager comes, says "don't see anything either." Calls the sales manager he says, "what deal?

I look at him and say get your boss. Boss comes and says "what deal"?

This deal here your service manage signed that says I get nav.

Shit proceeds to hit the fan.

My terms, I leave with a truck with nav or my down payment. Your call.

Seems like they rather upgrade the truck than repay the down payment.

Were you watching the Leowendowski hearing?

No much different from medieval interrogations!

Apparently they can't just update the software. Which is bizarre to me.

Actually I was thinking that when listening to the Democrats.  Like the Inquisition, they begin by announcing your guilt.  It is not for you to defend yourself, only for you to say (as was demanded of witches) when, where, and on account of whom did you become a witch.  Salwell in particular was speaking right out of the inquisitor's handbook.
