What is it with Democrats and collaborating with communist dictatorships?

Closer to my house, a local university has decided that one of the residence halls' floors, which are named after various secretary of states (some which then went on to be presidents), must be renamed because of our terrible past of building this country off the back of slaves. The university president basically cowered before the entire campus and the former RAs who brought this issue up (even though there was already action going on to get rid of the names) and proclaimed them "strong leaders" to bring up this issue. This guy doesn't have a spine anywhere to be found. He thinks he is appeasing these people, rather than realizing that he is feeding them. It's only going to get worse.

In #3 lucius septimius said: I guess this sort of political craziness is the new Normal. You know, these people keep doing this because they say "this is not who we are" and "we want to provide positive role models for our students." Okay. So why haven't I heard of a single plan to mentor those students who need role models? Why haven't I heard about any programs to work with underachieving populations and tutor them in the skills they lack? Why hasn't there been a single action to work on resolving the issues that students have, the group they are supposedly doing this for? It's all cosmetic. It's easy, low-hanging fruit that can be done with minimal work from anyone.

I can imagine that his suggesting---quite rightly---that mail-in voting is subject to massive amounts of fraud and suggesting that the election therefore be delayed may be a pincer movement against the Left, in that they will thereby insist that the election be held as scheduled but possibly dial back their push for mail-in voting. By taking the initiative, and forcing their reaction---a basic deal-making strategy---he has a better chance of controlling the argument.

It's a shame that Marcel Duchamp has left this mortal coil. In light of the current gender-and-"transgender" madness, to his classic cubist work "Nude Descending a Staircase" he could add a new painting: "Testicles Descending a Nutcase."

At that point, they are so driven by their visceral hatred of him that they can't think. If nothing else, it keeps them chasing their tails for a while. It seems to me that the best strategy is to show voters that the Democrats are the party of chaos and disorder. They have already brought it to the cities -- if people see the Democrats trying to make voting chaotic it will only increase their distrust. People don't like being told that their votes don't count; the idea of massive, state-sponsored voter fraud is a raging insult to the voters. And you don't win elections by insulting the electorate over and over.

Had he faced more determined resistance those along could have sunk him. In any event, they established a pattern that came to bite Hillary on the butt when she made her deplorables remark. The line might not have been so devastating had it not followed on Obama's earlier remarks.

If he proposes postponing the election on the basis of mail-in voting being an invitation to fraud---not only tinkering with the election schedule, but suggesting/implying that the states pushing mail-in voting will have their votes ignored/discounted (if for no other reason than their obvious inability to report the votes in a timely manner, not to mention chain-of-custody issues), that might---might---manage to cause the mail-in advocates to back down and abandon mail-in voting. In other words, he's negotiating with them to have them abandon their fraud scheme of their own volition.

The idea is to get as many of the states proposing mail-in balloting fraud as possible to back down---and to force them all to declare what they'e doing earlier rather than later, so that the field is thinned and plans can be formulated to deal with those who remain committed to the mail-in option.

In #34 lucius septimius said: By the way, why do all the people a the SSA have Indian accents? I had a call like that. Because it came in similar to those from the security clearance people, I called back, to get a recording saying it was the Social Security Investigators, and then someone with an Indian accent came on. Meanwhile I saw voicemail was left, so I said I should listen to that first, and hung up. It sounded more live than the typical robocall, but had the same problem of starting before the recording. I went to the Social Security website and reported the call. That was last week, and I haven't been arrested yet.

The person in charge of fundraising for BLM is a convicted terrorist (partway down in this article) the fact that the person in charge of fundraising for the BLM movement—to which many well-meaning Jews are likely donating—is a far-left radical who is a convicted terrorist. Susan Rosenberg was a member of the May 19th Communist Organization, which organized and carried out bombings of federal buildings including the U.S. Capitol and armed robberies in the 1970s and ’80s, including a notorious attack on a Brinks armored car in 1981 in which two policemen and a security guard were murdered. After being caught and convicted of multiple charges, she was sentenced to 58 years in jail. But she served only 16 because President Bill Clinton commuted her sentence on his last day in office. Today, Rosenberg, who considered herself a political prisoner while in jail, is vice chair of the board of Thousand Currents, and effectively helps lead the group that handles fundraising and “provides the legal and administrative framework” that lets Black Lives Matter “fulfill its mission” in accordance with their website. While she may no longer be responsible for running guns to terrorists, her views don’t seem to have substantially moderated.
