I guess everyone slept late. I took the dogs out around 8 (later than usual, but they didn't wake us up earlier), went back to bed. Then, around 10, was awakened by a 24 lb dog jumping on the bed because she was ready to be up for the day. I had just finished a very strange dream that I can't make much sense of, involving aliens, a luxury submarine, some way some people could run faster than a train, some gourmet food (some of it nonkosher, that I tried to avoid having), and other stuff. (But would a gourmet chef really put truffle-infused lobster Newburgh studded with shrimp in aluminum foil? That is the treif food I didn't eat, btw.)

Reply to Occasional Reader in 3: Don't have time to watch the segment, but this text was interesting: On Wednesday Steyn returned to the ratings phenomenon "Tucker Carlson Tonight" to discuss the "President-Elect"'s proposed head of the "US Agency for Global Media" - a man called Richard Stengel, who wants to amend the First Amendment because it "should not protect hateful speech that can cause violence by one group against another". Why do I think that if they decide not to protect hateful speech, it will only apply to racist and anti-Muslim speech, and not, for example, hate towards Jews or Catholics?

Reply to Kosh's Shadow in 4: Oh, and the concept will be supported by most Jewish organizations because they want to stop "hate speech", and don't realize that this can be used against them. Media and the global thought police won't do a thing about Islamic Jew-hatred, although they will clamp down on some Holocaust denial and right-wing Jew hatred. Farrakhan will continue to be able to call Jews "termites", and Islamic preachers will keep calling for exterminating Jews. But pointing out Islamic Jew hatred will be considered "Islamophobic" and stopped.

Need a cartoon of the Uighurs being herded into concentration camps, with a picture of the UN in the background, with a sign "Never Again" ("Never" being crossed out as I did here) And while Trump has the time, he should bring up a resolution condemning China, and tell the UN to support it, or leave.
