Up, dressed, about to head out for church.

A very happy Easter to all those who celebrate it.

I explained the Easter story to little OR. He was puzzled as to why those mean people would want to kill a nice man like Jesus.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 2:  Just tell him those mean people were the ancestors of the democrat party and things just went downhill from there.

Morning all. Bright and sunny here and might be warming up a bit.

Having a few curious questions. Checking on lever action rifles and I have discovered that a lot of them are out of stock period across Canada. Especially any chambered in .45 Colt. Big change from 6 months ago or so. Possibly a year.

Kosh, as for one thread daily, why not just do one thread a day and label it the Pub thread?  It can still be any photo you want, people talk about anything and everything in the local tavern anyways.  I don't have a problem meeting friends in a barroom setting.  The topics shift from serious issues to light-hearted banter all day and night.  Don't have to keep the "serious" stuff for just the day time thread.  You can always go back to two separate threads when the need arises.  Please just don't stop posting any threads!  It's like you said, this is a social life for some.  As for myself, I don't like most people, but I do care about you folks.  I do come here everyday to see what's going on in your lives, even if I don't always comment.  It's also nice to know there's someone out there who will listen to me if I need to talk.

I wasn't planning to have no threads, just one per day.

Glad to hear that.  I live in a very, very small town, not even a town; we're known as a hamlet.  I think we'd lose over half of what population we have left if the local tavern closed.  To think this hamlet had the first telephones in the county and a hospital among many other thriving businesses at one time is mind boggling.  Time marches on...

Reply to Alice in Dairyland in 7:  Funny thing though, we do have three Lutheran churches within a mile of each other here.  The force is strong.  Unfortunately (?) I am not Lutheran.  No social life for me there, although I'm sure they wouldn't ask me to leave if I showed up at one of their picnics.

A hamlet? Is suppose people have been asking, "To leave, or not to leave. That is the question."

No question about it, most have left now.  We are located at the bottom of a beautiful valley and they used to market on the name "Peaceful Valley".  Even have a road named Peaceful Valley Road.  It really is "peaceful" here now!

Glancing at Twatter this morning, I was thinking that about 85% of the people on there would be shouting "Crucify Him!" and think they were virtuous for doing so.

Happy Easter to all who celebrate. I went to church this morning and now I have a leg of lamb in the oven. Hope you're all enjoying time with family and friends.

Happy Easter to those who celebrate.  I've been out of the area at our daughter's place this weekend.  I had a very nice time but when I came home our cat ignored me for a couple of hours, ha ha.  She has forgiven me now.

Probably stopped ignoring you at feeding time.

It was a little earlier but not much.  I found a dead baby lizard in the hallway.  The critter was in our house before I left but I couldn't catch it. I'm sure the cat had fund with that poor thing.

She also had food left in her bowl.  My cat eats her food little by little.  I filled two feeding bowls and two water bowls before I left.

I know.

Red Dwarf is a British Science Fiction comedy series that sounds quite stupid, but is very funny.

So in other words, you left an Easter treat out for your kitty while you were away.  That was awfully nice of you to think of her.

She's pretty new at this hunting thing.  She's an indoor cat.
