I saw that article yesterday, and I've decided I should now have my pronouns be Princess, Her Felineness, and Her Felineness'. It's only right that everyone should refer to me this way.
In #1 Occasional Reader said: Texas synagogue attacker was a known wolf. (To MI5, anyway.)
There's also some chatter that the FBI knew about him, too. Did I see correctly that he just arrived here two weeks ago and of all the places he goes to do this, he goes to some podunk city next to a Federal prison? I have to ask--did he declare that on his plans when entering the country?

I find myself wondering whether he connected with a domestic jihadi sleeper cell, and got the gun from them.

I would be surprised if he did not. (Or jihad supporters, at the very least, if not a "sleeper cell" per se.)

Walter Duranty actively suppressed information about the Holomodor, including disparaging reporters who reported on it.
The Times also reported Poland invaded Germany - straight German propaganda, not believable to anyone with half a brain.

Well, that was a pretty flimsy recurring plot device on ST:TNG, so I'm just as well with them not having covered it.

I note, however, that the Holodomor is said, in the video, to have slain "5 to 7 million people." That may be true---but the generally-accepted number from 30 years to as little as 5 years ago was 3 million. I find it interesting how this number has grown, particularly on allegedly-conservative sites, mostly promulgated by people who, if not actually engaged in Holocaust-denial or -minimization, are flinging about the recently-increased Holodomor numbers as a stick on which to lean their Jew-hate. It is a fairly common thing now, it seems, among a certain stripe of "conservative," to blame the tyrannies of the Soviet regime entirely on "the Jews," as a launching platform for justifying their Jew-hate directed at fellow-citizens and others.

Just to report one small, local piece of possibly good news:
While it's true that DC's "show us your papers!" vaccine mandate for most private businesses came into effect this past weekend, so far I've not been in a single business establishement that showed any signs of actually enforcing it. They have signs on the doors, yes; but no actual enforcement of having to show proof of vaccination.
Is this "Irish democracy", or mere laziness/short-staffedness? I don't know.

Seattle schools are a total disaster area. Over 50% of the budget is administrative overhead.
The school board actually tried suing the city when the city planned removal of a homeless camp off of an elementary school grounds.
It's not going to be long before the money dries up and all the big corporations pull up stakes and move out.

I suggest they do build one, over an active volcano, and all those promoting DEI show their appreciation by walking across it.

I can't even conceive of the insane mental gymnastics these people go through to end up with ideas like this. The sooner Big Tech leaves Cali and the PNW, the better. Starve the beast.
So far big tech has fed the tiger, despite all the attacks on them, they still haven't figured out they are on the menu.

It will take a while longer for it to happen, although I did hear a story from someone inside Big Tech this weekend where they said it is all DEI, all the time. The company is basically coasting on the coding work it did years ago and hasn't built anything new in over a year. Several hires were made with diversity in mind, and those people were not presented in a good light.

Although I'm working at one the biggest now, and we have to deal with some of the training. I'm fortunate that it is a serious, hardcore engineering project. We are just heads down, solving engineering problems, making things work, and working toward the goal. A high speed circuit doesn't care who designs it. It has to be right, end to end or it doesn't work.

Big Tech will do what they are largely doing, outsource the work to China and India and H1B visa people, and use their DEI hires for virtue signaling.

Before I got my current position I had a phone screen with one of the Big Tech companies. I had no idea why, since I don't use it. To protect their identity, I'll refer to them as ArsePamphlet/
The phone screen described all the work they do in their Boston-area office. It was largely "been there, done that" for me - video, networking, network acceleration, content delivery network,.... but they decided not to proceed anyway. I think especially at my age, a lot of the interviews I had were just so companies could say they didn't find anyone so they had to hire H1B. Like the company that interviewed me for a Python position, and then all they could say was in the coding test, I didn't format the comments well enough. And if I had taken the time to do so, they'd say I took too long.

Same with my work. And it can go to higher restrictions as well.
Back in the 1990's, I worked for a company that developed image processing software. All the work there was unclassified, but they supported NITF - National Imagery Transmission Format - for the images. About what you'd expect for a format designed by a government committee; very complicated, and they had a test suite to check compliance.
