Reply to lucius septimius in 2: I was expecting the HVAC guy for my semi-annual service that I should have scheduled in April. They asked me to reschedule because they're overwhelmed with emergency calls from people who have no AC at all. It's expected to be in the upper 90s for the next two weeks, so I have no faith that they'll come out on the 23rd (my new appointment). Now I'm concerned my system will fail because it hasn't been serviced since last fall. Plus, it must be 120 degrees in the attic and I don't want anyone passing out up there.

It was 97ยบ yesterday, but it's not supposed to be as hot today. Thank goodness, because we have to take the son somewhere today and it's not good for him to get too hot.

Reply to vxbush in 9: I think it is the worst thing. Troubleshooting an issue. Suddenly it starts working. You don't know why. You can't replicate the issue, you can't check what you did. It just works.... but you live in fear of it failing again.
