Muffin sized eggs and bacon? Yes, please. So the Washington Post wrote a story that claims Trump had details about nuclear weapons regarding other countries in that secret stash of his at Mar-a-Lago. Except as the Daily Caller writes: A slew of the documents obtained at the Aug. 8 raid on Mar-a-Lago contained top secret content that only the president, his Cabinet members and near-Cabinet-level members are authorized to have knowledge of, sources told The Washington Post. Some of the information requires special clearances where only a few dozen people are allowed to have access to the operation’s existence. This sounds. like yet again, someone is supposedly leaking information to the Post to make themselves look good and Trump look bad. But if these secrets are only authorized for the president and Cabinet-level members to have, then how on earth do these leakers know about it? And should they be leaking that information to the press? The stupid, it burns!

So: how long did it take them to stage photos of these supposedly secret files? And why did we only hear about now, almost a month after the raid was completed? If they had it, wouldn't they have released this the first day after they announced that was the justification for the raid?

"Climate change" is really something. It provides politicians who have not taken any precautions against utterly-foreseeable events---wildfires, spikes in electricity demand, floods---the opportunity/excuse to evade responsibility for failing to live up to the responsibilities of their jobs, and, as an added bonus, gives them an excuse for doubling down on inflicting the miseries that result from their derelictions of duty upon those they are supposed to serve.

Reply to vxbush in 1: Documents like that are logged and usually numbered. Not that it wouldn't be above them to fake the logs.

Not that it wouldn't be above them to fake the logs. Even without that, it only takes two brain cells to figure out that if they had had this at the very beginning, they would have opened with this and followed up with it immediately to get all the press to show how dangerous Trump is. Only getting it out a month later demonstrates the profound weakness of their arguments.

Watching the Apple Sales Pitch. I see a few things I like, but of course they are only on the premium model and cost almost twice as much. Sigh.

Reply to vxbush in 10: If you are up on the Apple stuff, I'd appreciate any recommendations you can offer regarding what I ought to get to replace my 10-year-old MacBook Pro. It's been balky ever since I replaced the battery a few weeks ago. I've got a 15-inch screen, but wouldn't mind going down to 13 or thereabouts; lighter is better. Problem is, I'd also like to be able to play discs, which the new Macs don't, so I'd need an external CD drive. Other problem is that since Apple decided to dump USB ports, I'd need some sort of adapter to connect to my printer, not to mention a new mouse & earphones. I'm currently on High Sierra, and the machine has 16 GB of memory. My brain totally shuts down when I look at all the options, so any guidance would be welcome.

The problem will be keeping me from overwhelming you with options. We should probably do this via email and not clog up the site. You have my contact info, yes?

On my way into work today, I saw a guy wearing a t-shirt reading: "Legalize Gay". Um. Really? The need for perpetual victimhood, it's quite something.

And kind of related: I'm seeing news on alternate media regarding a major Uke counteroffensive; MSM is mute about it, only wants to talk about the nuke plant, North Korean weapons, etc.
