Maybe Sotomayor is wiser than we thought:

US Supreme Court's Sotomayor lets Yeshiva University prohibit LGBT club

US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor on Friday permitted Yeshiva University to refuse to recognize an LGBT student club that the Jewish school in New York City has said violates its religious values, temporarily blocking a judge's ruling ordering it to allow the group.

At least a tentative win for the First Amendment

As for the Mar-a-Largo raid, it is clear those running the sheep of state are trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

So is Putin crazy enough to go nuclear if he loses in Ukraine? Especially since the fallout would go right into Russia?

And if he did give such an order, would it be followed?

Google Maps Introduces New ‘Most Ridiculous Route Imaginable’ Button

The headline is the funniest part, though.

User Ben Jacobs was excited about the new feature. "I usually take the highway to work, but the new button sent me down sixteen side streets, through two churches, and a guy's living room. I saved three minutes."

Well, some of those ridiculous routes saved me easily 10 minutes when I worked in Lexington, cutting a significant time off an over an hour commute of around 25 miles, which takes under 40 minutes in low traffic condiditions.

Did the walk-through on my new (fingers still crossed) house. A couple of things I'll need to address more or less immediately; other things that can wait.

Out of 5 computers, 2 won't install the latest Microsh$it updates. Best I can find is that it is necessary to download the Win11 image and do a repair install, which is not supposed to lose anything important. (Font and icon customizations will be lost, but not applications, settings, etc.)

Since the two systems are quite different (one an AMD Ryzen running Win11 Home - a cheap computer for the bedroom -- and the other a Dell Vostro Intel based system running Win11 Pro, I will have to download the ISO image twice.

But I am testing this in the cheap computer because I have a lot less to lose there; pretty much all data is on external drive or will be before the upgrade.

I cannot wait to move to Linux. OK, my Linux system does have its problems with major upgrades, but it is also 6 years old and probably has some hardware issues.
