I note that there were 13 Friday posts. BTW, the planetarium at the Worcester Science Center (now under a different name) did a live production of Nightfall that I saw my freshman year in college.

that, I would have paid to see. I still need to get my son to a planetarium. We’ve tried twice to go to the Hayden planetarium in Manhattan, supported both times by circumstances.

Now, I did once see a planetarium performance of the Asimov short story “the last question”. I remember it was well done.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 2: I've been in the NY Planetarium twice, and many times to the Hayden Planetarium in Boston. The last time I was there was for a National Space Society regional meeting, that had Dr. Robert Zubrin talk about his plan for Mars exploration. Amid all the questions about how the government could help, I asked how private citizens could help, and he announced the formation of the Mars Society I note Elon Musk was also a member, and after he tried to get to use some Russian missiles for experiments and was turned down, he started SpaceX. That's why he is a billionaire and I am a lowly contractor.

IMHO the “flat tax” is s shibboleth.
what is crazy and complicated about our tax code is *not* having graduated income tax rates. That’s easy.

Reply to Occasional Reader in 7: The complexity is in all the deducitons, not the brackets. For example, the business miles - the rate changed in the middle of the year. Who records their mileage that often, except for big companies that track it constantly?
