This sounds like decently good news about the two co-chairs of the RNC: Bartiromo asked Whatley where the GOP would allocate the funds from the massive haul. "We are going to spend every single dollar that we raise on two key critical core missions for the RNC, which are getting out the vote and protecting the ballot," replied the chair. "And we're going to make sure that we are focusing on the battleground states and districts where we need to be competitive and making sure that every dollar that we raise is going to be putting lead on target." .... [Lara Trump talked about election integrity.] "[When] you talk about election integrity, it is vital. It is the number one thing that we are focused on, aside from getting out the vote, which of course Donald Trump himself will do for us. People are excited and if they could go vote for him today, they would go do it. We are ensuring that this election, we are leaving nothing to chance," Lara assured red America. "We never before at the RNC have had an election integrity division. All of our resources we can put into this division as needed. And with a haul like we got last night, with a March like we had, we have the funding now to ensure we can train poll workers, not just have poll watchers; that we can have lawyers in every voting precinct necessary across this country. We are making sure that we leave nothing to chance because we have to understand the importance of this election." While disappointing that they never had an election integrity division before, this sounds like an excellent start.

Reply to vxbush in 1: More from Whatley: "First, we've got to make sure that we have the rules of the road in place in every state to ensure a fair election. So we are working with state legislatures, we're working with boards of elections, we're working with Secretaries of State to make sure that we get the rules of the road right and if they're not, we're going to go file lawsuits. We've already filed over 80 different lawsuits in 24 states to make sure that we have the ground ready to go for safe elections. Secondly, we are recruiting and training tens of thousands of observers, and we're recruiting and training thousands of attorneys to make sure that we are in the room whenever a vote is being cast and a vote is being counted." I recall at some other blog during Romney's general election that one of the members had volunteered as an election observer, but had received no training. The election observers had an app and had no clue how to use it. I hope they are very serious about doing it right this time.

Everyone keeps helping Hamas: It's totally unclear how many hostages remain alive at this point. Hamas seems to have been lying about this for quite some time. It's a safe bet that they have a very good idea, at least broadly speaking, about the relevant status and numbers, but they've decided it's in their interests for the Israelis to be kept guessing and hopeful. Remember, this is the terror group that puts out precise death tolls or women, children and puppies whenever they claim an Israeli airstrike has killed civilians. These numbers are often total fabrications, and sometimes the incidents themselves are lies, too. But Hamas rushes out their propaganda stats lickety-split, under the auspices of the "Gaza Health Ministry," and many in the global media dutifully regurgitate them. Yet these very same people supposedly don't know where dozens of their most valuable commodities -- guarded at gunpoint for months -- are located? It now looks quite likely that Israel has been negotiating against themselves for quote some time, with Hamas leading them to believe that more hostages remain breathing than is actually the case. This evil deception has been aided and abetted by the 'International community' letting them get away with no verification processes from the likes of the International Red Cross, which has comported itself disgracefully... .

Reply to vxbush in 4: One more paragraph on the abysmal IRC here: Israelis have been accusing the International Red Cross of “failing to act to fulfill its mandate and moral duty to visit the kidnapped Israelis held in Gaza, assure their wellbeing and fight for their release” since late last year. For this reason, a few months ago, the Israeli government intentionally cut the group out of an agreement over medication deliveries: "Frustrated by the ICRC’s failure to perform its most basic functions of seeking proof of life and verification of medical treatment, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu 'deliberately bypassed the Red Cross in helping arrange' the deliveries, the Associated Press reported."

Do you think she would be interested in getting Donald back in the White House?

Pardon me, JCM, but that's spelled wrong. It should read, "You's full idiot."

Remember the Yale University e-mail kerfuffle from 2015? When a house dean (or whatever they're called) sent an e-mail gently advising students that they might have to see Halloween costumes they find offensive, and they might have to actually, you know, deal with it? I recall NPR playing a recording of a black, female Yalie at the time declaring that their situation was just like that of black sharecroppers in Mississippi, back in the 1920s o 30s.
