Hypothesis: America 2024 Is Not 1938 Germany. It's Worse. The author is straining at the topic to find a group from Eastern Europe who did not want to kill Jews but did, and then compare that singular group with the rabidly pro-Hamas protesters on college campuses. But he's ignoring the number of people who happily accepted Hitler's leadership and decisions and therefore were fully on board with the extermination of the Jews. So the comparison isn't fair. But I bring this article to your notice to generate discussion: can we avoid seeing our country completely turn away from Israel so it actually does start talking about Israel the way Iran does? Those in power (seemingly in the intelligence community) seem greatly desirous of imitating every bad move done by Communist and thuggish regimes to stay in power. They need a bad guy to have everyone unite against to convince people to let them stay in power. I fear Israel may be their choice.
