Holding hostages makes them combatants. If some were underage, then both Hamas and the adults are guilty of an additional war crime of having underage combatants.

The media skips right over that. “Combatant” describes those persons with a right to directly participate in hostilities between States. - they conduct their operations in accordance with the laws and customs of war.

In #3 JCM said: Most of Hamas are illegal combatants anyway. Note the PA claims their "pay to slay" payments to terrorists and their families are salaries for their "soldiers" - none of which are proper soldiers, and some are underage. They are admitting to war crimes, and should be treated as war criminals.

Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 6: As I have said here before, and as I said at minyan this morning, anyone who believes that "the world" will ever hold Hamas, the PLO, or any of the other Arab/Muslim terrorist entities, to account and to Israel's benefit, needs to lay off huffing the hard stuff. Not gonna happen, and anyone who thinks it will is high on something.

Reply to buzzsawmonkey in 7: And I agree - most of the world hates Jews, except for a subset of religious Christians and Hidus, it seems. The latter because they face the common Muslim enemy. Some of the former support Israel because they are waiting for Jesus' return and then expect to see those who do not become Christian to be destroyed; others do realize that Jesus was a Jew, not a Palestinian. My short analysis is that the lower world is rejecting bcoming a place for the presence of the Shechinah, and many Jews are attracted to the worldy pleasures and acceptance. This goes way back before Hellenized Jews supporting Greece. Let's face it, it is hard to be the "chosen people". I'm not going to go on and on here, though.

I used to think that the UN should be turned into a museum of its failures, but now, I think a better idea is for it to be used to house the nations, in one united place. All the illegal aliens in NYC and elsewhere go there, starting NOW. Let the UN deal with them.
