Iran's intelligence Service and Israel had a close relationship during the Shah's reign. The Shah and Israel both were targets of the Islamic extremists. Mossad had a lot of people in place in Iran for a long time, providing Intel and running operations.

Iran has been at war with the US ever since the late, unlamented Jimmy Carter gave that country to the mullahs. Israel has just done the US a huge favor by knocking out Iran's nuclear capacity.

Yet there are posters here who are constantly whining about phantom US "boots on the ground" in the Middle East on behalf of Israel, who routinely ignore that Israel is taking care of business in the Middle East on behalf of the US.
