Apologies to JCM, and to everyone else here, regarding my post #5 on this past Friday. 

I did not mean to suggest that the commenters here, at this site, were whining about phantom US "boots on the ground."  The post was a copy of a comment from another site; the "here" was meant to embrace the Internet, not to refer specifically to those here.
