Trump admin agrees to reinstate student loan forgiveness plans for millions of borrowers

WASHINGTON (TNND) — The Trump administration will cancel student debt for millions of borrowers under programs it blocked at one point.

This result comes from an agreement last week between the administration, the U.S. Department of Education and a union called the American Federation of Teachers.

In the agreement, the Trump administration said it would forgive student loans for borrowers that qualify in two different repayment plans.

I saw that news earlier this morning and was rather stunned. Did you know there are some students who are still paying for loans after 20 years? People are NOT protecting students from indentured servitude, and forgiving such debts makes it worse.

What irks me about the whole discussion is that it leaves out small business loans.
What's more valuable, I guy buying a new septic truck to expand his plumbing business or another degree in gender studies.

I don't what anyone's loan to be paid off.

Sue Harvard for misrepresenting and fraudulent marketing, make them pay off the Harvad student loans out of the $50 Billion pile of cash they are sitting on.

The Obama administration went after for-profit colleges (like University of Phoenix, where I taught online) because some were frauds and many overstated how much the degrees would be worth.

But they did nothing about nonprofit institutions offering worthless programs like "gender studies".

Wired with explosives so it could be dropped at anytime?

A bridge / tunnel is somewhat a non-sequitur, there isn't enough population on either side to support it as a trade route. Shipping from mainland US to East to Kamchatka to the Russian rail system would be more cost effective and efficient for the amount of goods going into East Russia.
