A brisk 33 degrees here in sunny Chambodia.   Looks like fall is finally upon us.

Whereas we got over an inch of snow; probably closer to 2 inches. I'm calling it winter.

Morning, campers. Please excuse me while I go find my parka, my down comforter, and my thermal insulated heated gloves.

From playing "Dinosaur'" with Little OR yesterday evening:

Me: Grrrr!  I'm a hungry Tyrannosaurus Rex!  You look like a delicious Stegosaurus!  Do you think you'd fit inside my tummy?

Little OR: Well, we would have to check the volume first.

Crazy Uncle Joe Biden:  "I'm going to make sure we rejoin the Paris Peace Accord on day one."

End the war in Vietnam!!!!

Wait, what?

Did everyone here get carried off by tornadoes last night?

Pro tip:  Just throw water on the witch, it'll melt her.

Spoiled.....

The truck I got to replace my totaled one has remote start, heated seats and heated steering wheel, the cabin heat is electric, no waiting for the engine to warm up.

If I use the remote start and temp is under 40o F, the heated seats and steering wheel turn on, and with the electric heat the cabin is warm...

Like I said spoiled....

Only thing it doesn't have is a coffee maker...

Biden later clarified that he was sorry for that remark and didn't mean it; it's just this war and that lying son-of-a-bitch Johnson!

Nice. If I ever move up North (doubtful),  I would get a car with those features.

Last night driving home the car next to me had their phone suction cup dead center of the wind shield... pet peeve of mine... why are you blocking your view of the road, intersections, pedestrians?

She was playing a movie on her phone... in stop and go traffic.

Oy vey.....

That should be grounds for at the very least an immediate suspension of a driver's license, if not outright revocation. Wow.

"phone suction cup dead center of the wind shield.."

Yes, that seems bad.  OTOH, for a legitimate purpose like navigation, you don't want to have to take your eyes off the road to see the thing.  I might test-drive something with a HUD next time I'm looking for a new car (maybe 3 years), to see what I think of it.

I don't think I ever heard the Alice Cooper song "Steven" which was linked to in last night's pub.

Am I wrong, or is the song about post-birth infanticide?

It seems to have a mother who wants to kill her newly-born son, but does not want to see/take responsibility for doing so; a Peter Lorre-like voice who just might be the doctor who is to do the deed (reminds me a bit of Peter Lorre as the "doctor" in "Arsenic and Old Lace"), interspersed with the voice of the newborn Steven wondering what the hell is going on/they are doing to him.

If I've grossly misinterpreted the song, someone correct me.

I am not familiar with the song, and based on your description, I'm happy maintaining my status as such.

Nor was I, until Kosh posted it in last night's Pub.

In any event, that was how it impressed me; as a song obliquely showing the horror of infanticide.  I could be wrong, but I'd love someone more familiar with it to explain why/how I am.

I can see the bottom of the wind shield, or the top. But right smack in the middle of line of sight?

If I were LEO I write them up for obstructed wind shield. Most places that is a violation.

The album "Welcome to my Nightmare" is conceived as a series of nightmares by a child named Steven.  There is a range of opinions on the meaning of the album/song, but in the case of "Steven" it appears to be him dreaming his own birth and death from some unnamed defect shortly after birth.  He hears his name being called and is able to see himself but knows that he (the infant) is doomed, and moves between terror, remorse, and acceptance.

Well, your #18 is pretty disturbing. I've heard parts of that album over the years, but I now plan to avoid it like the plague.

*Deep Ominous Voice* It is done!

At 3:00 pm this afternoon (or there abouts, on the after end) my fiancee and I formally changed the designation to Husband and Wife. Friends and family showed up to ensure things were done in accordance to the provincial regulations, and much cheering and nibbling was done. Pictures and video will follow once Stick (close personal friend and army buddy) figures out how to send me the links and stuff..

We are both very happy. :)
