Anyone who wants to be able to create threads, please reply via email or here

Even better, anyone who wants to have access to the code, hosting plan etc (so if something happens to me it doesn't all disappear), please let me know.

Well, my gob is smacked. When they moved our department, the group that manages the building's heating and air said, "these two rooms don't have heat. Don't use them." They didn't tell us, and the leadership that moved us into those rooms said, "it's OK."

Now that it's below 40 daily, these two rooms are freezing and I am amazed that this was allowed to go forward. And of course, one of those rooms is where all my computer equipment is. How awesome is that?

IMPEACH TRUMP!!!

So far what I heard of Sondlund's opening statement it is damning! DAMNING I SAY!

Trump used irregular diplomatic channels!

Trump expected diplomatic negotiations to involve, you know both parties to perform certain things for the the other party.

Trump should be impeached for doing what every other President has done!

Ken Starr: None of these witnesses have accused Trump of breaking the law

IMPEACH!

They don't like Trump pursued HIS policy and rejected the Deep State and did an end run around them.

Notice how the PRESIDENT's policy is the "irregular" policy? Well POTUS sets policy, anything else is irregular.

Quid-pro-quo is NORM in political negotiations. Something for something.

Criminal investigation cooperation are again the NORM.

It makes me laugh and pissed at the same time how suddenly when Trump does what is normal, it becomes criminal.

It is outrageous and clearly impeachable that Trump thinks that Article Two, Section Two of the constitution is operative!  He must be impeached!

More recruiting calls

Seems like R&D and production is ramping up, good signs for the economy.

I've been getting more calls and emails from recruiters in the last two weeks than all last summer when I was looking.

Waiting to see the Kuiper offer, I have a call with Microsoft this afternoon, and just took a call from the Oculus VR project.

I'm hoping to leverage the demand for more work at home time.

I think that the Democrats are relying very heavily on the fact that most Americans don’t understand the constitution, don’t understand how relations with foreign nations work, specifically that all international interactions are by their very nature, conditional. They are also relying very heavily on the fact that of the small portion of the public that do understand the constitution and the nature of foreign relations, there is a significant portion that is sympathetic enough to advancing the Power of Democrats that they will pretend that what the President has done is impeachable.

Also, Trump made Marie Yovanovitch cry!  She cried real tears, tears of sorrow, right there on TV!

IMPEACH!!!

That's ridiculous. Is there someone you can file a complaint with? You could wind up very sick in that environment.

Oh, that musty old document is, like, a hundred years old or something.  Nobody knows what it means.  (Except for the clearly-defined rights to on-demand abortion and gay marriage, I mean.)

I was in  a meeting this morning, and during that time the point person managing the move said no mention was made about the lack of heat in those rooms. The story appears to be developing.

Build a campfire in the middle of the room to stay warm.

That will get Management's attention quickly...

Apparently Sean Hannity (probably among others) called it the night before her testimony, "she will cry on cue".

Yovanovich pisses me off. A highly accomplished career diplomat who resorts to tears to avoid accountability for her actions. Way to be a role model, Marie.

One of the many reasons I am not a feminist. Oh, and a belated Happy International Men's Day to the gentlemen of the blog, who probably have no idea that was a thing and don't care.

I'm an individualist.

Each individual deserves respect, in accordance with their conduct and character. They each get equal treatment under law.

What is hard about that?

Because if we can't divide people up into mutually-antagonistic grievance groups, it'll make it so much harder to have tyrannical control over them.  Like, duh.

Just came back from an errand and there was someone by the pharmacy recruiting for people to aid Warren's campaign.

Part of me wants to do/say something nasty, because I find Warren loathesome.  Part of me says, "go for it, recruiter!" since with any luck Warren will help to bring the Democrats down in flames.

I'm in a very "liberal" area, which means that the "Hate has no place here," "Refugees welcome," "Resist," and similar signs abound. I'm trying to think of some sort of countermeasure I can take.  Suggestions welcome---but please do NOT suggest a MAGA hat, as I have never worn, and will never wear, "baseball caps."
