One of my dad's first jobs when he was deployed to the Pacific was diving on the wrecks in Pearl Harbor.  One can only imagine what he saw, but it bred in him a fanatical hatred of the Japanese.  His experience liberating POW camps on Guam and in the Philippines only made his hatred stronger.  

I don't think today's snowflakes are capable of understanding that.
