Retail hell is done for another Christmas season. Last night was especially onerous. Did two 20kg mixes of dinner rolls for all those that are feasting today and tomorrow. Not to mention 4 other mixes and bakes. My boss is a harsh task master and idiot. Thank god for beer. Just staying up to get some basic things done for a small get together tonight with friends. than I will crash for a few hours before starting to cook yummy food.

I took this week through the 1st off. Not that I can just relax. Did shopping yesterday. Have another errand Friday, and a lot of other stuff meanwhile.

A good rendition of "Good King Wenceslas". Canadian band that the loving and lovely wife introduced me to. Heard it done live last hear in a wonderfully small concert hall.

Christmas Eve morning went well, I took little guy over to his mom’s and she made him a pancake breakfast, and we opened her presents for him, much to his delight. His favorites were the microscope and telescope. We open his presents at my place tomorrow.

Chili bubbling away nicely in the slow cooker. "Pam's Loaf" or as my buddy calls it "Meat Bread", cooking in the oven. Drinks have been poured. Just waiting for the wife to get home and start relaxing from the stupidity that is last minute Christmas madness. Going over to buddy's place for dinner and movies this evening. Short walk across the street so there will be much drinking involved. Tomorrow after a little cleanup we will be setting up the couch bed in the living room and probably be doing some binge watching of "The Expanse" season four. And more drinking, nibbling, and nothing else. Life is good.
