Seattle shooting

The response of our ruling apparatchiks in Seattle is rather muted so far. Other an a few press releases about gun violence, none of them have had and "outraged" speech yet.

The rage of The People is palpable over the shooting. Even the media has been quiet, sticking to facts.

The normal gun grabbing rhetoric following a shooting is almost absent.

It's so clearly a failure of government's duties. When law enforcement knew almost immediately who the perps were. The Police even got a dig in at the prosecutor's office with "suspects are known to police" line every early on in the aftermath. Shooting largely have been confined to known problem areas in Seattle. This one was the heart of downtown and victims are all regular people.

The fall out is going to be interesting.

Of course the left is saying he's an asshole for daring to question Chief Lieawatha.

Who can we criticize?

"It's so clearly a failure of government's duties"

I think it was at Ace of Spades that I saw the following.  The author noted how the progs are always howling about our terrible national problem of "over-incarceration".   Maybe so, but we also clearly have a problem of under-incarceration.  Look up the details (as he did) of a string of recent homicides in your city in which the perp was identified.  In nearly every case, you'll see someone who CLEARLY should not have been walking around free.... rap sheet as long as your arm, multiple prior violent crimes... and repeated slaps-on-the-wrist.

One of the benefits of Trump is that, because he has no filter, ordinary people are more willing to speak up. We are a long way from restoring sanity, but I think we're trending in that direction.

To be more clear; look up the details of recent homicides, and the relevant perps... not (necessarily) of a string of homicides carried out by one perp.

I'd love to see a Bugs Bunny cartoon about illegal immigration.  I can envision Bugs saying to a "Dreamer":  "Nyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah...what's up, DACA?"

... who, apparently, is a white nationalist, Jew-hater and kiddie pr0n fan.  Blecch.  Shame about that, since it's a good quote, in general terms.

Yikes. Here's an old interview with his ex-wife. What that poor woman and her children endured.

JUKEBOX:  Bet you didn't know there was a "Smoke on the Water" song before the rock 'n' roll song.  Neither did I, but here's Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys doing it.  It's a "victory over the Axis" song.
