I had not realized that an "Occupy" encampment has been squatting at City Hall in lower Manhattan for the last week-plus---apparently, to urge the NY City Council to "defund the police"---and, of course, deBlasio has done nothing to rout them out.  It appears that the budget vote was yesterday, and indeed the police have been "defunded" to the tune of $1 billion, though the "protesters" were not pleased because much of this was accomplished by shuffling some police, and their functions, to other agencies---in other words, the police took a hit but not quite as big a hit as it appears.

Morning Sedition was discussing this breathlessly, in between its discussion of some new ad boycott aimed at Facebook because Facebook---Facebook!---is insufficiently "woke" and not quite sufficiently avid in its censorship of content, plus the corporations in question are looking for another virtue-signaling opportunity.

Morning Sedition was also breathlessly discussing that Tweet of Trump's which featured woke Florida oldsters yelling at less-woke Florida oldsters driving golf carts, one of whom apparently uttered the words "white power."  This utterance was of course the springboard for talking endlessly about how Trump has been a "white supremacist" and "overt racist" ever since he first announced his candidacy.  Trump and his people were idiots to not have vetted the clip more closely, but the commentary on the radio was absurd.

I will repeat what I said the other day: in prior revolutions, the uprising rabble would typically seize the centers of communication, but in this instance the centers of communication---Big Tech, most newspapers, most radio and television, etc.---were already in the hands of the insurgents. The violent street rabble today are not here for the purpose of creating the revolution, but consolidating it by cowing the populace; it is revolution-in-reverse, with the street thugs running riot with the tacit approval of governors, mayors, and police chiefs to let us know that they have already won.

I would like to be wrong about this; I do not think I am.

So the attempt to clear the area by "asking nicely" didn't work, eh?

"Seattle police officers arrived at the CHOP early Wednesday morning, reclaiming the area around the East Precinct and dispersing protesters.

Officers were flanked by tactical vehicles, adorned in riot gear, and brandishing batons. After arriving around 5 a.m., they warned protesters to disassemble or face arrest, as well as the possible use of chemical weapons."

I've long advocated deploying VX nerve gas in CHOP.  I'm glad they finally listened to me.

Only after they found Mayor Durka Durka's house and threatened her personal safety. I hope Seattle voters realize just how little their so-called leaders care about them.

Bob Roland General Smith reports a gas attack. He wants to know what to do.

Rufus T. Firefly Tell him to take a teaspoonful of bicarbonate baking soda and a half a glass of water.

Better that than the alternative: everyone around me starts falling asleep.

Under oath. Evil continues, and one political party is completely supporting this.

I just posted on the Frontier a draft of a piece I plan to send to the Federalist.  If you all could, would you mind looking it over and telling me what you think.

I offered a couple of modest suggestions.  Very good piece.
