So earlier this evening, today's Google Doodle having been noted by a friend (and thence to me) who's aware of my 5 year-old son's fascination with chemistry, I mentioned to Little OR that "today's the birthday of one of the men who invented the periodic table." Little OR (excitedly): "Dmitri Mendeleev?!" Me: Um... no, the other guy.
