While walking to a local restaurant with Little OR this evening, some woman passed us on the sidewalk and snarled “where are your masks?”  Being with my little son, I limited my response to a cheery “hi, Karen!”.

I've had offers to help pay for the blog. I don't need that, at least until it goes viral (is that still an acceptable term?)

What I want is more participation.

Interesting you say that.  She was my first thought, but I doubt she would be interested.  WZ is a home for her now and has a larger audience that benefits from her input and an audience that appreciates that input.

(I visit WZ from time to time and find her posts worthwhile.)

My old laptop died in February so I switched to the old desktop that had no sound for a few months.  The desktop died as well so I was able to buy a little used laptop.  It is nice to have sound again for the jukebox posts.

We are close to the Bobcat Fire in the Angeles National Forest.  The fire is right behind Mt. Wilson and the observatory and the communication and television towers so they are quite concerned.  I have a friend in Sierra Madre who was going to camp out on our couch a few nights ago but she stayed home after all. We could have to get out of here quickly.

Thanks Kosh.  Our old buddy Sage had to evacuate his little community north of here.  He is still staying with a friend. He does not go online much these days but I'll ask him if he is interested in our blog.
