As bad as you think Biden's dementia is, it's probably worse (if this is in fact true).

I think it is true and they already have written up motions to remove him as president, dated a day or so after the inauguration, due to incompetence. We need debates. Admittedly, debating Biden will be handicapped abuse, but it is necessary.

OK, debate via zoom. Even with a teleprompter he'll screw up. I feel sorry for him, actually. He should be off enjoying his retirement, Instead, the Dems found he was the closest to sane candidate they had. Waiting for the movie, Sense and Senility

Oh, and the Republicans need to bring back the ad of granny being pushed over the cliff- (link to full article) Biden adviser Ezekiel Emanuel wants to reverse the Trump administration’s intention to offer the vaccine to those over 65 ahead of the general population. People over 65 are at the highest risk from COVID-19. But in a new piece in the Journal of the American Medical Association, Emanuel argues the elderly shouldn’t be given priority because they don’t have as long to live anyway. Fellow adviser Emanuel, sometimes known as Dr. Death because of his controversial views on the elderly, does the cruel calculation that an 80-year-old man can expect to live only eight years more, so why make vaccinating him a priority? You don’t want people who think like that calling the shots when lives are at stake.

Reply to midwestgak in 8: We need a landslide. It's not impossible. The shocking thing will be how many votes he gets in blue states like California. He won't win them, but it will be a lot closer than people think. I am very tired of this bullshit about him not winning the popular vote, as if that matters.

Each person in the Shire is something towards to aspire
You're getting to be a hobbit with me
Let me symbolically praise the English yeomanry
You're getting to be a hobbit with me
I used to think that your appetite just meant you liked to eat
But now I must admit that I delight in your furry feet
It began as a fling, but I must make you my Halfling
As devoted as was Frodo's Sam Gamgee
You must slake my desire that's as big as all the Shire
You're getting to be a hobbit with me
No doubt about it
You're getting to be a hobbit with me

In #31 Kosh's Shadow said: What if the Fellowship of the Ring had been equipped with tactical nuclear weapons Or this . . . From the 1920s through to the 1950s Atomic energy was terrifically fashionable. Radium was used in everything from beauty and cosmetics, to household cleaning products (see the photo below of the Radium hand cleaner which ‘takes off everything but the skin’ – yikes!). So, why were people so keen to use radioactive products in every aspect of their daily lives? Radiation was meant to ‘energize’ the skin and make it more youthful (it gives a whole new meaning to having a glowing complexion doesn’t it?). Luckily Radium was pretty expensive so only tiny amounts were generally used in these beauty products. It was still radioactive though, and still caused cancer. One of the most first mainstream brands of radioactive beauty treatments was Tho-Radia, a French line of skin creams, cosmetics and toothpaste which contained both thorium chloride and radium bromide (hence the name).

Reply to midwestgak in 35: My daughter's high school put on a play called Radium Girls. (She was the stage manager.) It's based on the true stories of young women who painted watch dials with glow-in-the-dark, radioactive paint. They would wet the tip of the brush with their tongue, so lots of them developed cancer of the mouth. The company knew it was dangerous but denied them any compensation when they became ill. Some of the girls sued, but they lost in court, IIRC.
