Mom's watching Monday Night Football. The opening had this announcement about how it was a historic game. Why? First "all African-American officiating crew." The announcer, some dim biff who just reads the teleprompter, said without irony that this was a triumph of "inclusion" (racial uniformity is inclusive?) and that the officials were not chosen because of their personal merits, but rather ONLY because they're black. That's the only thing about the officials that makes them significant. I left the room.

Reply to turn in 3: Get ready for four more years (at least) of pandering to black people. I do wish they'd figure out that they're being patronized, but maybe the unearned privilege is worth more to them than their self- respect.

Wife's colleague went to get a (state-run) COVID test. (He has not been near us since his potential exposure) After waiting for hours, they said they were closed; no more tests were available. But they were still letting cars into line. He said that "Socialized medicine will fix this" To which my wife replied "This IS socialized medicine" (If we needed tests I'd go through our insurance company, or where I work, which has testing dates for people coming back from Thanksgiving)

BTW, I got email from the Boston Globe saying "COVID testing in Mass is far short of level needed to stop virus spread" IDIOTS! Testing does NOT stop the spread!
