Reply to Occasional Reader in 14: You were right about the opioids; stopped 'em after two days because of the effects. They were good at killing pain right after the surgery, but afterwards... I cannot imagine why people would take them for "fun."

Reply to Occasional Reader in 14: Sadly The Rake is still in the first act. I found my wooden bench under an old tarp and covered with leaves. I'll probably get rid of it but it could be cleaned up and painted. It was from my favorite local restaurant that went out of business a long time ago.

I cannot imagine why people would take them for "fun." He was right, indeed. When I broke my femur and the ball of the hip I only took the pain killers at the hospital and for about a day and a half afterwards. I hate them and can't imagine taking them for "fun" either. I hope you are already feeling a little better.
