Aliens land on Earth, and seek audiences with various world leaders; among them, the Pope.

During that meeting, the Pope says (because of COURSE the aliens speak English), “I’d like to tell you about our Savior, Jesus Christ.”

The aliens reply, “oh, sure, Jesus! We know him. Nice guy! He comes to visit us every year.”

Astonished, the Pope replies, “we’ve been waiting for him to return for over 2,000 years; and you’re telling me he visits *you*, EVERY year?!”

The aliens reply, “well, sure! It might be because the first time he came, we gave him some really good chocolate.”

Again, astonished, the Pope exclaims, “you gave him CHOCOLATE?!”

“Sure,” the aliens answer. “What did *you* guys do?”

Happy birthday! I cooked a very nice dinner and had a lovely time until dessert, when my daughter got irrationally upset over a bad joke my boyfriend made. Now she says she never wants to be present in the same room as him. I do not appreciate her trying to force me to choose and I won't play this game.

But other than that, we had a great time!

So sorry to hear your day went south.  The stress of holidays can bring out the worst in people.  On a Thanksgiving, more years ago than I can remember, my sister-in-law absolutely blew up when her brother couldn't decide what kind of pie he wanted for dessert, so he asked for a small piece of each.  She just went crazy and ended up storming out of the house.  After that little episode, my husband's family could never all get together again.  She couldn't stand to be in the same room with him.  To this day, nobody can figure out what set her off, it couldn't have been the pie.  If you try and ask her, she responds with "well if you don't know, I can't possibly explain it to you".  It hurt my mother-in-law terribly, but really, nobody else really missed her.  I hope your daughter is able to get past whatever upset her.
