And even if Trump did have launch codes from his time in office, they should get changed regularly, especially when a new president is inaugurated. And such codes would be unusable without access to the communication system to use them.

I'd be less surprised if he had the plans for an Iranian bomb that he wanted to pull out should a new JCPOA be proposed.
