Some Columbus Day notes:

The day Columbus sailed was when all Jews had to leave Spain.

There is speculation that Columbus was Jewish, but the consensus is that he was not, but a fair percentage of his crew were.

Many people knew the world was round in Columbus' time. Sailors knew because of the way ships disappear and reappear over the horizon. Educated people knew. Columbus thought the world was smaller than most other educated people, and thus attempted the voyage to the East by going west.

Thank you for your expression of condolences, Kosh.

My friend’s mother was a wonderful lady and a big influence since my adolescent years.
