After all the impeachment sturm und drang, Trump deserves some time off.  Maybe an ocean cruise---too bad the Acquitania is no longer afloat.

Iowa Caucus Fail; Knockout SOTU with Nancy Tantrum on top; and shampeachment acquittal.  What’s on tap for tomorrow?

And of course whose fault was the Democrat caucus debacle in Iowa?

The jooos!

Far-right conspiracy theorist Rick Wiles, whose TruNews web channel has been accredited on several occasions by the Trump White House, claimed on Tuesday that the disastrous breakdown of the vote-counting process at the Democratic caucuses in Iowa was a conspiracy by Israel and “the very people who crucified Christ.”

“The pro-Israel owner of The Times of Israel newspaper is backing homosexual mayor Pete Buttigieg and he’s the moneyman behind this app?” Wiles asked a guest.

He added, “Are you suggesting that the Israelis are influencing the election to have the Democrats nominate its first openly homosexual presidential candidate?”

“That would fit in with the values that agree with that,” the guest answered.

Wiles then spoke directly into the camera, saying, “What happened last night is weird, and we’ve already pointed out, there is an Israeli connection. Imagine that. There’s an Israeli connection to the Iowa disaster last night.”

He then claimed that the electoral breakdown was part of “a coup. A takeover of the United States of America. Unless we resist.”

The whole Iowa App Fail reminded me of Mitt Romney's famous "Get-out-the-vote App" fail back in 2012.

I'm Discusted

Left a comment on a Jpost article and it isn't there.

The article was on how Germany still plans to honor Iran on the whatever anniversary of the Islamic "republic"

I said that since the Iranians chant "Death to Israel" and "Death to the US", then both countries should protest, and the US should tell Germany that this will be considered in their foreign aid.

And that the Germans haven't changed as much as they pretend

Evening. Personal circadian rythym is normalizing. Just had a movie night with the wife. Watched "Big Trouble in Little China". Wasn't at all what she was expecting and she enjoyed it immensely. Was a good stroll down memory lane for myself and it has held up nicely considering the last time I saw it.

You may or may not recall that I was waxing eloquent about that movie just a couple weeks ago. It really is quite a gem, especially for such a silly movie.

Yes  I do. Purchased it this weekend along with a Blu-Ray player. I like doing movies like this with her. Expand her horizons, and show her how demented her husband is. :)

Then again, we are both a little demented so it's a wash.

Should I distrust Chinese propaganda more than I distrust Taiwanese propaganda?

On late Saturday evening (Feb. 1), Tencent, on its webpage titled "Epidemic Situation Tracker," showed confirmed cases of novel coronavirus (2019nCoV) in China as standing at 154,023, 10 times the official figure at the time. It listed the number of suspected cases as 79,808, four times the official figure.”

The number of cured cases was only 269, well below the official number that day of 300. Most ominously, the death toll listed was 24,589, vastly higher than the 300 officially listed that day.”

Everyone with an ounce of sense knows that China has been lying from day one. The actual numbers are probably an order of magnitude higher. I also suspect coronavirus began as a biological weapon in that lab in Wuhan and it was released accidentally. It's hard not to be a conspiracy theorist when it comes to China.

i am hearing things through channels that are connected to the g....ment, that there are some concerns about this thing, No panics yet, but concerns.

while I know that the Taiwanese wage propaganda warfare against mainland Chine, I don’t think that China can be trusted all that much, and I suspect, they can be trusted much less than the Taiwanese.

I will be seriously working on stocking up the pantries of my friends and close family members over the next two weeks

If I am overreacting, then they will have full panties.  If I am wrong, they will have full pantries. Risk management analysis says “do this thing”.

Rice and beans can go a very long way and they are very cheap if bought in large quantities. A 25 lbs sack of rice and a 25 lbs sack of beans will cost about $40.00. In a normal one person household, that would last about a year of casual use. (If this all turns out to be nothing, then-spending $40 for a little paranoia will be an excusable footnote.)

in a survival situation, it would last a one person household 3 to 4 months if conserved.

a quarantine should last, worse case, no more than two months. (China will offer a guide.)

Something about the way that China is dealing with this thing makes me suspect that the Taiwanese report needs to be taken seriously.

i agree.

this does look like an accidental release of something really scary.

My brother pointed out to me yesterday that his neighbor’s children were singing  “pocket full of posies” yesterday. I heard them. I thought it was odd. To have him point to it was an asterisk. He wondered where they had heard of the song and if they knew that it was a song about the Black Death plague.

it is probably nothing.

He wondered if some adult taught it to them recently, with the their subconscious thinking about the Wuhan Virus.

Aloha epj3!

 See the link in #18

i think we might be in the early stages of something like the Spanish Flu,...but maybe a little worse.

A little pantry stocking might be advisable. Not panicking, just being prepared.
