This morning I got up and while I was making coffee implored the heavens "let something good happen today." It has been a fucked up day for the ages. This is what I get for asking heaven for anything. "Things aren't bad enough? You want it to be worse? We can do that." I'm so sick of this shit.

Reply to midwestgak in 11: I had to go back over some papers yesterday. Things have sucked pretty continuously since July 2007. And they just keep getting worse. I wonder, how much worse can things be? And the answer is "worse."

After reading Paladin Phill’s post in the morning thread, I ran out to the store and purchased a tri tip roast, eggs, some baking pans, a full tank of diesel at $2.17, some 9mm ammo and a Norinco SKS. observations. The meat section at Costco is a frightening thing to look at. I think there is a serious supply chain issue about to become a major issue in the coming days. The meat section was nearly bought out. if this lock down thing goes on much longer, we may all end up being reluctant vegetarians. If we are lucky.

My father played that one for me. And yes, I knew about the dinghy song,

Reply to Syrah in 21: The next hoarding will again begin with media reports of potential shortages, unless it is kidneys beans or whole berry cranberry sauce. Just an observation at many stores in my area.

My wife is concerned about TP, so our storage area is starting to look like the pre-apocalypse supermarket aisles, with it stacked on the floor. I had bought a 20 pack just before all this started, so we never ran low

Remember everyone. Safety, safety first. I keep hearing that reason for continued suppression, newer more reactive laws and spending. Perhaps I'm a bit paranoid, I live in Illinois.

There appears to have been a sudden, total re-design at PJM, with lots of pix missing and a totally non-functional "comments" button. If anyone's around, I'd be interested if they'd check out if the same thing obtains for them.

In #21 Syrah said: The meat section at Costco is a frightening thing to look at An observation: since this whole thing began, the panic-buyers seem to head straight to Costco, again and again. So I have heard, anyway. So I wouldn’t necessarily extrapolate from what you see at Costco, to what is the general condition of things. Anyway, here’s to better times. Good night.

I was using Safari 11.1
PJM works in whatever Firefox I've got, but I don't like Firefox.
