In Atlanta, police officers are calling out sick or refusing to work their shifts. No one knows how many because the mayor and new interim chief won't say and the media covers for them. I also know from my BF that APD officers are applying at his department and others in the suburbs. SPD should do the same.

I wear a mask at both places of employment.  Walk out the door and it comes off.  Get into my vehicle and breathe a sigh.  Free again.  Until the next day.  We are supposed to accept this as normal civic behavior?  For how long?

Something is just wrong about that. 

Oh, and today the Chicago mayor granted stage four freedom.  Goody, with the caveat that if covid cases spike, stage three will immediately be imposed again.  (Just a reminder of who is in charge of freedom.)

Drone and missile attack reported in Ryadh

Explosions heard around the capital of Saudi Arabia were alleged to be a drone and missile attack in the first hours of Tuesday morning. The US embassy in Saudi Arabia confirmed media reports of “possible missile or drone” attacks that struck a building in Riyadh. Concerned that more were incoming the US mission urged people to take precautions.

The US mission statement on June 23 said that if people heard explosions they should take cover. If they live in a building they are to go to the lowest part away from windows or near interior walls. “If you are outdoors, immediately seek cover.” This unprecedented statement issued during an attack appeared to confirm that the attack was unfolding and ongoing. Rumors said multiple waves of attacks were being feared from Yemen’s Iranian-backed Houthi rebels.

Take out all the Iranian military and Revolutionary Guard and Basij sites, and tell the Iranians take back their country, or Tehran is next.

Mask at work. (Can only take off in car, office with no one else there, or while eating, observing proper social distancing. Not that there are many places to eat)

Temperature scanner as anyone enters. As people return, they will step that up to include individual scans.

In my experience in both places an individual temperature reading has been a requirement to work since March 15th.

There are reasons that I think Moshiach - the Messiah - is close. But we're not supposed to predict that.

Revolution in the US. India and China border skirmish. COVID. Almost every country ganging up on Israel. Iran attacking Saudi Arabia (even indirectly by the Houthis) 

North Korea where the leader is supposed to be their god, with nukes - and Kim Jong Un's sister seems to be running the show, and she has the morals of a black widow spider.

Iranians in Syria and Lebanon - fairly close.

There is a section in the Prophets that describes the aftermath of a threatened attack, where people go to see the dead soldiers and horses - as if an Iranian nuke missed Israel and hit the invading army (OK, tanks instead of horses, but the Biblical era didn't have words for modern arms.)
