Stephen Kruiser went to Trump's rally in Tucson, Arizona. You might want to read it and learn that there were a lot of young people there.

This is infuriating

Starting this week, high schools across Pennsylvania will be receiving copies of a serialized graphic novel that asks students to consider a question: What would have happened if the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection had been successful?

The creators of 1/6: A Graphic Novel say they’re mailing copies to every public high school in Pennsylvania — about 750 schools — along with public libraries. The goal, they say, is to convey the risks facing American democracy, and what people can do about it.

“It’s very evident to me, the forces that led to that insurrection … the white supremacy, disinformation — those things are all very still much with us,” said Alan Jenkins, a Harvard Law professor who authored the graphic novel with Gan Golan.

Supposition, possibly to be turned into a theorem: When Democrats imagine the worst, they move into action immediately to prevent it. In this case, "the worst" is that January 6 would have been successful or that Trump might get back into office. When Republicans imagine the worst--which is often the result of Democrat policies--they are pooh-poohed and told to go to the back of the bus. Then when the worst happens, no Democrat will ever admit it was a result of their policies.

Do you know what else is happening in Springfield, Ohio? Some illegal voter registration forms written in....wait, guess!.... in Haitian Creole

Key graphs:

LaRose's press release noted an ongoing investigation into "evidence of a pattern of fraudulent voter registration activity in multiple counties under the paid employment of a group called Black Fork Strategies."

Black Fork's website boasts that its goal is "building long-term progressive power" through canvassing and voter registration, among other things.

Damn. I wrote this up and then lost it. Let's try this again, taking only some of the information from the following article

  • Thomas Crooks, the shooter, attempted to kill Donald Trump from an unprotected roof that was instead being protected from inside the building below.
  • The Secret Service (SS) denied requests for additional protection for Trump.
  • Most personnel assigned to protect Trump that day were DHS agents who took a short webinar on threat assessment.
  • There were audio issues in at least one of those webinars.
  • There are rumors that the SS has inadequate training now, which seems confirmed based on hte webinar above.
  • Local SWAT teams saw Crooks and offered a description of him, but those descriptions never made it to the SS because they did not pick up the radios from local police.
  • Crooks flew a drone over the site.
  • Crooks was spotted with a rangefinder.
  • The lead agent overseeing security in Butler failed training exams when she first joined the Secret Service.

Trump should simply hire his own protective detail and be done with it.

The CBP One smartphone app all allows illegal aliens from Central America to ride busses through Mexico to come to the US and claim asylum.

Smartphone apps to help illegals get into the US. This level of insanity is beyond comprehension.

The real insurrection was not Jan. 6.

The real insurrection is happening all around orchestrated by the democrat party.

Yes, and depending on how in-your-face the steal is this fall, there is a larger-than-desired possibility that things could get very, very ugly.

According to the clip you linked to, a "pearl necklace" is a symbol of "sorority sister solidarity?"

I have heard that it is also a euphemism for spatterings of love juice after the performance of an act, repeated performance of which was allegedly the SPROING!-box of Kamala Harris's political career.

Note to OR---

Though your son is, I think, well past the teddy-bear age, it occurs to me that early-impriniting of children is useful, and that since young children tend to like both teddy-bears and toy guns, it might be useful to consider instilling Second Amendment consciousness---well, pre-consciousness---in them by marketing a teddy-bear with a rifle or something of the sort, with the idea that it is their right to keep an armed bear.

Okay, I love this idea. But I want it to have a tactical Nerf gun.

Oh, I have about 50,000 I'd like to get rid off, but yesterday was just an absolute waste of time, attention, and energy. So I'm ignoring it. forgetting it, and striking it from my calendar.

I swear stuff like this is just made up by people who want to sexualize everything. It used to be a pearl necklace was a pearl necklace. Now you're going to make me very worried that people will come to the wrong conclusion about me if I wear one again.

Pearl Necklace has been a double entendre for a long time. ZZ Top had a song about it in the early 80s.

For whatever it's worth, one of the things people used say about oysters (I've never eaten one, this is based on what I've read) is that they strongly resemble a certain portal in the female anatomy---one which, I might add, has been oft-compared to "fish."  Thus, from the pearl-producing oyster to the "pearl necklace" sexual euphemism is a very short step indeed.

For a little lightening of the conversation, here's an overly-operatic rendition of Cole Porter's "The Tale of the Oyster":

Heh.

In fact, he still has a couple of "stuffies" that he likes to sleep with (I'm trying to gently convince him it's time to put those away).

I've shown him the firearms that I own, and gone through the basics of safety.  So far he shows little interest in guns... where did I go wrong?!
